Black Kite, a leading provider of cyber third-party risk intelligence, has partnered with Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®. Through this agreement, Carahsoft will serve as Black Kite’s Public Sector distributor, making the company’s AI-powered, non-intrusive cyber risk intelligence platform available to government agencies via Carahsoft’s reseller ecosystem and multiple procurement contracts, including NASPO ValuePoint, TIPS, OMNIA Partners, E&I Cooperative Services, and The Quilt.

“Carahsoft is a trusted industry leader with an impressive network supporting Public Sector customers across the U.S. and Canada,” said Tony Monell, VP of Public Sector at Black Kite. “We are thrilled to partner with them as we expand our ability to deliver cybersecurity solutions that protect critical infrastructure and ensure secure government operations.”

As regulatory requirements grow, agencies face increasing challenges around intelligence sharing and cross-department collaboration. Black Kite’s platform enhances visibility into critical vulnerabilities across public and private domains, identifies compliance gaps, quantifies cyber risk in financial terms, and detects the likelihood of ransomware attacks—helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Operationalizes cyber threat data: Passively scans digital footprints for risks such as unpatched vulnerabilities or open network ports across 292 technical controls, using real-time threat intelligence to help agencies optimize limited cybersecurity resources.
  • Enables safe cross-agency collaboration: Black Kite’s asset-discovery engine aggregates information from sources like VirusTotal, PassiveTotal, search engines, and internet-wide scanners through one of the largest IP and domain Whois databases.
  • Supports proactive infrastructure protection: Uses AI and machine learning to identify behavioral anomalies and enable remediation of the most critical vulnerabilities, helping agencies maintain essential operations.
  • Simplifies regulatory compliance: With a data lake of more than 34 million companies, Black Kite confirms cyber compliance for organizations supporting Federal, State, and Local Governments. When public information is unavailable, the UniQuE Parser maps policies to 14 global frameworks, including NIST 800-53, NIST 171, NIST CSF, and CMMC. The platform also complies with 2019 NDAA Section 889, offering mapped lists of restricted companies and subsidiaries.

“Black Kite provides Government agencies with key tools designed to minimize cyberattack risk,” said David Chergosky, who leads the Black Kite team at Carahsoft. “The platform enhances visibility, strengthens compliance, and builds resilience against evolving threats. We look forward to supporting the Public Sector with Black Kite’s advanced cybersecurity intelligence.”
