Buoyant and Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®, have announced a new partnership that makes the enterprise edition of Linkerd available to Public Sector organizations. Under this agreement, Carahsoft will act as Buoyant’s Master Government Aggregator®, delivering Buoyant Enterprise for Linkerd through its reseller network and major government procurement vehicles, including NASA SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO ValuePoint, and OMNIA Partners.

Buoyant Enterprise for Linkerd is a production-ready distribution of the open-source Linkerd service mesh, engineered for high-security, sustained enterprise workloads. Built on Linkerd’s lightweight, Rust-based architecture, the platform provides enterprise-grade features essential for mission-critical deployments. It enforces Zero-Trust principles without requiring application code changes, using mutual TLS (mTLS) with post-quantum encryption and cryptographic workload identity.

Beyond security, the platform reduces operational costs by replacing costly application load balancers and lowering cross-zone networking expenses through High Availability Zonal Load Balancing (HAZL) and automated lifecycle management. For Government organizations, the solution aligns with stringent compliance needs, offering FIPS 140-2 and 140-3 validated encryption and strong supply chain security via immutable images and signed SBOM and SLSA provenance attestations.
