Shield AI Expands into Taipei to Strengthen Autonomy and Defense Partnerships

Shield AI, a leading deep-tech company developing advanced autonomy software and aircraft, announced the opening of its new office in the Taipei 101 tower during the Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) 2025.

The expansion highlights productive engagements with Taiwan’s senior government, defense, and industry leaders, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in advancing autonomy and national defense capabilities.

On September 20, Shield AI hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new office, attended by representatives from government, industry, and academia. Earlier in the week, Shield AI participated in TADTE programming, with presentations including:

• “Sovereign Autonomy: The Critical Enabler of Drone Armies” by Chief Technology Officer Nathan Michael

The Taipei office opening builds on the momentum from Shield AI’s recent Teaming Agreement with Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) to advance promotion, deployment, sustainment, training, and autonomy integration of its products in Taiwan. A senior AIDC representative joined Shield AI leadership at the ribbon-cutting, highlighting the strength of the partnership.
