Viz.ai Wins 2025 Edison Award™ for ML Innovation for the Third Year
Viz.ai, the leader in AI-powered disease detection and intelligent care coordination, has once again been honored with an Edison Award, marking its third consecutive win. The 2025 recognition highlights the company’s Viz HCM module, an innovative AI solution developed to detect and triage patients with signs of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This accolade places Viz.ai among the top innovators in the Health, Medical & Biotech category, specifically under Cardiovascular Health Diagnostics and Monitoring.
The Edison Awards, named after the legendary inventor Thomas Edison, celebrate groundbreaking new products and services, design excellence, and innovation. Winning an Edison Award is widely regarded as a hallmark of success and leadership in innovation.

Viz HCM leverages artificial intelligence to analyze 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs) across entire health systems, detecting potential HCM cases and alerting cardiology teams in real time. The technology was developed as part of a multi-year funding collaboration between Viz.ai and Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY). In August 2023, Viz HCM received De Novo approval from the FDA, establishing a new regulatory classification for machine learning-based cardiovascular notification software.
Clinical data presented at the American College of Cardiology meeting highlighted the real-world impact of Viz HCM. In a single nine-month period at the Cleveland Clinic, the AI solution successfully identified 574 patients with HCM, demonstrating its potential for earlier and more accurate detection of this life-threatening condition.
All Edison Award nominations undergo a rigorous evaluation by a steering committee and an executive judging panel comprising over 2,000 senior business leaders, academics, and past winners across fields such as science, engineering, product development, and education.
Winners were officially announced during the Edison Awards Gala held on April 3, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida.
