Carlyle, a global investment firm listed on NASDAQ (CG), has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Adastra Group SE, a leading global IT consultancy specializing in AI, data, and cloud transformations. The deal is subject to standard regulatory approvals across multiple jurisdictions.
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Prague and Toronto, Adastra helps clients navigate their data and AI journeys by developing strategies and delivering transformational solutions. The company operates across sectors including financial services, automotive, manufacturing, technology, media and telecom (TMT), healthcare, retail, and professional services. With over 2,000 employees in North America, Europe, and Asia, Adastra is positioned as a global powerhouse in data-driven innovation.
Partnering with Adastra’s founders, Carlyle will support the company’s continued expansion across AI, cloud, and data services, aiming to enhance offerings for current clients while entering new international markets through both organic investments and strategic M&A.
The investment will be funded jointly by Carlyle Europe Technology Partners V (CETP), focused on European tech companies, and Carlyle Asia Partners Growth II (CAPG), which backs high-growth firms across Asia. Carlyle will bring its experience scaling top-tier IT services companies globally to support Adastra’s next growth phase.
